| Establish a set of rules such as access times so you know when they are online and for how long. | |
| Make sure your children never disclose their passwords to anyone but you. | |
| Let your child know that you are interested in their online activity. Participate if possible and discuss what they do online openly without being intrusive. | |
| Make sure your children are aware that posting information online makes it public and permanent. | |
